Mike Judge made Beavis & Butthead, Office space and Idiocracy, but you wouldn’t know that he also wrote and directed the new movie Extract.
To say “some of the comedy appeared to be extracted from Extract” would be the type of corny joke you’d hear in Extract,
but not here on da Dominion.
Other points …

Yes! Believe it or not, a good Tarantino movie!
Sarcasm.

I’ve long enjoyed his films and am not surprised at the quality of his latest: Inglourious Basterds.
Minor peeve: the title itself is mispelled. Maybe British readers may think that is the proper spelling, being from England where English originated, but it’s an American movie from a [...]

Peter Jackson’s new movie ain’t about hobbits on a long walk. District 9 is an Alien Nation story filmed like Children of Men with themes similar to Amistad or Schindler’s list.
Based on your enjoyment of those films, you could judge for yourself … or allow me to elaborate.

District 9 is [...]

A big plus of coming of age is that Hollywood can draw you in to see new flicks based on your childhood favorites. The downfall is having your initial hopes dashed as they completely “reimagine” the story, effectively murdering fond memories.

If you go back to the original it most likely wasn’t a masterpiece of fiction, [...]

Judd Apatow has always put a smidge of saddness into his films.

Evan, the 40 year old virgin, can’t really open up to trust. Ben, in Knocked Up, must grow out of his arrested development to become a father. Peter, the muppet vampire opera composer, in Sarah Marshal lives the self-loathing pain of any guy [...]
